After driving all the way into the library -- a 15-mile round trip, thereabouts -- and futzing around getting my donor message updated, re-typing the changes because the copy I'd uploaded to my web space for easy access didn't word wrap and I didn't know if it would work right if I just copy/pasted it, I got home to find a BIG STUPID MISTAKE in the message. Which I couldn't fix, because I didn't want to drive all the way back into town to change ONE WORD in the text.
Sigh. I'm meeting a friend online in a little while, so I'll ask her to make the change for me. But how frustrating! ::kicks stupid web page that doesn't work on Macs::
So I ended up wasting most of the afternoon trying to see if I could fix it using my old, old computer (don't even have a working browser on it any more, I discoverd) or my PalmPilot (the simplified browser won't run the javascript). Came very close to skipping my Thursday run, but the thought that I haven't missed a run yet and I don't want to start now finally got me out of the house at around 3 pm. Heh. Frustration makes for lots of energy.
So, run done, message updated (except for ONE STUPID WORD, which will be fixed in about an hour, I hope), donation page linked from my website, check!
